Having presided over the success of the past two editions of the Relinked Social Impact in Action Forum Series, the Relinked Group is once again putting together an experiential platform that presents a unique opportunity for individuals and organizations to harness the collective wisdom, creativity, and energy of diverse stakeholders in pursuit of common goals, to catalyze momentum and inspire collective action towards building a more equitable, inclusive, and regenerative world for all. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with leading experts, share insights, showcase social impact successes, think through, and co-create actionable solutions aligned with their core impact objectives.
The third edition of the Relinked Social Impact in Action Forum is scheduled to take place on Friday, May 24, 2024, at the Kenya Comfort Suites, Milimani, Nairobi, from 12:30 PM to 5: 00 PM, under the theme: Accelerating Partnerships for Social Impact, Sustainable Development and Regenerative Futures. The forum is designed to enable participants to “hitch their wagon to something larger than themselves”, and co-create actionable strategies, initiatives, and projects, that are aimed at advancing social impact, sustainable development, and regenerative practices within their respective spheres of influence.
Fashioned as a network for corporate sustainability champions, social enterprises, not-for-profit initiatives, purpose-driven organizations, and individual change-makers who want to make a positive difference in the world, it will drive forward a more resilient economy that restores nature and enhances social well-being for current and future generations. This is a great opportunity to learn, connect with others, and celebrate the extraordinary impact of organizations doing powerful work within their spheres of influence. The possibility of partnering and collaborating with them can be grasped to bring to scale your impact initiatives.
The overarching goal of this initiative has been to enhance a lifetime commitment to social impact by mobilizing cross-sector engagement through events, training, professional development, community service, leadership opportunities, climate action programs, and by leveraging useful linkages for sharing information, equipment, and support through partnerships and collaboration. Participants in the network get linked and re-linked with people who are making a positive impact. It is a space for individuals to challenge themselves and their organizations to do better and be more radical in their ambitions to contribute to the greater good.
One motivation firing the curation of this event is the fact that we live in an era marked by interconnected challenges and opportunities that require that we nurture interconnectedness, create a shared ownership of challenges, and discover solutions that pave the way for a future that works for everyone—a future we can all actively participate in shaping, and creating a world where thriving is possible for all. The forum will therefore explore how individuals and organizations can leverage mutual collaborations to enhance positive social impact, sustainable development, and the realization of regenerative futures. Participants in the forum will be empowered to align their policies, strategies, initiatives, and impact objectives to shape an ecosystem where regenerative mindsets, cultures, and practices catalyze a new horizon of change.
The Relinked Social Impact in Action Forum Series is a platform for learning and forging meaningful partnerships and collaborations that advance the efforts of various individuals and organizations to create a world in which societies and communities are safer, fairer, healthier, better governed, prosperous, and environmentally more sustainable.
Leading a case for networked development, the forum is ready to nurture a regenerative futures mindset, that acknowledges the fact that the challenges we are facing today across climate change, social and economic inequality, and environmental degradation, are all interdependent. Exploiting interconnected relationships, shared leadership, and collaborative efforts, will enhance our ability to manage emerging challenges and uncertainty.
This third edition of the forum will therefore meet the following objectives:
- Drive long-term partnerships to create a shared value for social impact initiatives; leading to inclusive growth, with the sole purpose of ensuring that the benefits of socioeconomic development can extend to all segments of society. The program delves into case studies, best practices, and innovative models that empower purpose-driven organizations to take their impact to the next level.
- Showcase practical examples of regenerative thinking in action and the creation of tangible impact that serves to reinforce awareness, share insights, develop capability, and convene actors to learn from one another. This will result in the growth of collaborative movements, including at the grassroots level, with resources and power being leveraged to drive widespread change.
- Convene and discuss different perspectives to enable people to have their voices heard, through the sharing of their stories, and to be part of change, and not just recipients of it. With the engagement of multiple perspectives, we will affirm diversity, enable respectful and constructive dialogue, and help participants clarify the question ‘Why do you do what you do?’
- Enable emphasis on pipeline gaps (areas where more projects are needed), equity gaps (communities that are missing), and emergent impact (projects tackling tomorrow’s challenges, along with today’s realities).
